Abu Garcia Max SX MagnetiQ Casting Reel

The Abu Garcia Max SX MagnetiQ Casting Reel gives bass, walleye, pike, and inshore anglers the confidence to make smooth, controlled casts while still reaching productive cover. Its innovative MIQ (Mechanical MagnetiQ) magnetic cast control system automatically adjusts throughout the cast, reducing backlashes without forcing constant brake adjustments so you can stay focused on pitching jigs, skipping docks, burning spinnerbaits, or working crankbaits with consistent accuracy. The lightweight asymmetrical graphite frame and side plates keep the reel comfortable through long days on the water, while a machined aluminum spool, Duragear Gen II gearing, and a 6.5:1 gear ratio provides dependable strength and smooth retrieves. Four stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing deliver reliable operation, and the Power Disk Drag System supplies up to 15 pounds of drag to handle aggressive fish around heavy cover. A 90 mm bowed aluminum handle with oversized co-molded PVC knobs offers a secure grip and added leverage when it's time to turn big fish away from weeds, timber, or docks.
